Dognality: Tootsie is a sweet girl who loves attention and being around her people. She has a gentle personality and is happiest when she knows she is doing things right. When something is new or unfamiliar, she can be a little vocal as if she is asking for reassurance before deciding whether she should be worried about it.
A little encouragement goes a long way with Tootsie. She has already made a lot of progress in a short amount of time simply by being encouraged to try new things instead of letting her initial hesitation make the decision for her. Once she realizes something is okay, she is usually happy to keep going.
Play for Tootsie is social and she enjoys being part of the group. At the same time, she has a good sense of her own limits and is very good at recognizing when she has had enough. She will regularly wander off and put herself down for a nap when she needs a break.
In training, Tootsie engages well and enjoys participating, but she is not in a hurry. She takes things at her own pace and does best when she has a little time to process what is being asked of her. With encouragement and patience, she is happy to give things a try.
Tootsie would make a wonderful adventure companion for someone who enjoys a sweet, affectionate dog with a little personality. She will happily come along for the fun, but don't be surprised if she wants a good cuddle session when you get home to recharge afterward.
