Registered: AKC
Coat: Long
Gender: Female
Color: Shaded Cream
Size: Miniature (Estimated 9–11 lbs Fully Grown)
DOB: 10/21/25
RTG: 1/13/26

Dognality: Rui is a little potato — calm, independent, and cautiously curious. She enjoys having the option to be close to her people and, when she chooses, gives sweet, deliberate cuddles that show just how affectionate she can be. Over time, she’s been steadily building confidence and learning the world isn’t so scary, making her even more delightful to watch and be around.

Play for Rui is all about choice and control. She prefers to initiate games and can become overwhelmed by rougher or more assertive play styles, often taking a step back or opting for alone time when things get too intense. When she’s tired or overstimulated, she may whine or get a bit wild — her little way of saying it’s nap time.

Rui communicates clearly with other dogs and respects boundaries consistently. She gravitates toward calm, compatible friends. Interestingly, she’s everyone’s (dogs’) favorite to try and play with, but she doesn’t like being the favorite herself, preferring to quietly observe and navigate the group on her own terms.

Rui is food-motivated but takes her training in stride — she’s very much a “stop and smell the roses” kind of girl. Generally easygoing, she approaches life at her own pace and thrives when given the freedom to explore, relax, or play as she chooses.
