Dognality: Checkers loves to give love. He has enough kisses for everyone and is always ready to start handing them out. There is something about the way this boy looks into your eyes that makes you feel like you're the only other thing in existence. If you're looking for a little guy who will adore you and worship the ground you walk on, Checkers might just be your boy.
Of course, he's not all cuddles and kisses! Checkers has a very playful personality and loves to rough and tumble with the other puppies. When he gets really excited, he sometimes breaks into a series of barrel rolls, rolling over and over again like he just can't contain himself. He's a little wild child at times, but those sweet cuddles and endless kisses sure do make up for it!
As much as Checkers loves his people, he's also learning how to be comfortable without constant human interaction. He's gaining confidence day by day and learning that he can enjoy his own company, too. It's been lovely watching him grow and become a little more independent while still keeping that affectionate personality we adore.
In training, Checkers is making good progress. Right now, he does best one-on-one or in a small, focused group where he can really tune in to what's being asked of him. Bigger groups are full of distractions, especially when there are so many puppy playmates around! With continued practice, he's learning how to keep his focus even when there is plenty of fun happening nearby.
Checkers is a whole lot of personality wrapped up in one very affectionate little boy. He's playful, silly, loving, and completely devoted to his people. If you want a companion who will make you laugh with his antics and then look at you like you're his entire universe, Checkers is ready to steal your heart.
